The Louisa Drake Method (LDM®) is London's premier evidence-based training system built on three inseparable pillars: intelligent movement, expert nutrition, and how you actually live. Fusing Pilates precision, functional strength, dance-inspired cardio, yoga, and breathwork with Precision Nutrition coaching and holistic lifestyle guidance, LDM builds resilient bodies, better posture, and calmer minds — designed for every stage of life.
Unlike fitness trends that promise quick fixes, LDM works because it addresses the whole person — not just the hour you spend training. Our method doesn't just transform how you move. It transforms how you live.
Created by industry leader Louisa Drake and delivered by her expert team of multi-disciplinary specialists.
Louisa Drake is the industry leader who has spent over 15 years perfecting intelligent movement for high-performers who demand sustainable results.
Louisa's journey began as a professional dancer and choreographer, touring with legendary artists including Roxy Music and Bryan Ferry, performing at iconic events like Live Aid in Berlin. Her dance career expanded internationally through commercial work with luxury brands including M&S, Agent Provocateur, Perrier-Jouët, Bulgari, and Mont Blanc, taking her from Hong Kong and Shanghai to Lisbon and Paris.
This foundation in movement excellence led to her transition into premium fitness. After developing her teaching skills in London and expanding her expertise across LA, NYC, and the Hamptons, Louisa established herself at Equinox London's flagship location — where she truly began developing the Louisa Drake Method. Strategic partnerships followed, from launching LDM's first dedicated studio with The Detox Kitchen to collaborations with Sweaty Betty, Adidas, and events with Lululemon.
Often described as "London's best kept secret" and a "secret weapon" by industry insiders, Louisa's discretion and expertise have made her the go-to choice for those who demand both results and privacy.
Professional Expertise
Louisa holds advanced certifications in personal training, a blend of classical and contemporary Pilates across the complete apparatus system — Reformer, Tower, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels, making her one of the most comprehensively trained Pilates practitioners in the UK — and yoga, alongside specialist qualifications in nutritional coaching through Precision Nutrition and Poliquin Biosignature Modulation. Her areas of specialisation include pre and postnatal conditioning, women's health across every decade, corrective movement, injury rehabilitation, and holistic lifestyle coaching.
The nutritional and lifestyle dimension of LDM is not an add-on. It is built into every programme Louisa designs — informed by years of clinical observation, advanced study, and a deep understanding of how what you eat, how you sleep, and how you manage stress directly affects how you move, recover and age.
The Louisa Drake Method combines Pilates, yoga, strength training, and cardiovascular conditioning into transformative programmes designed for real life. Her innovative signature workouts — LDM® Shape Changer, LDM Invisible Reformer, LDM Sculpt, and LDM Sculpt & Stretch — are intelligent, hybrid sessions that deliver sustainable results without sacrificing other areas of life. Each format is designed to work alongside how you actually live — not against it.
A former ballet scholarship holder and professional dancer trained across all styles, Louisa is also Barre certified and Strala yoga trained with Tara Stiles — a somatic movement philosophy that runs through her teaching as a sensibility rather than a separate discipline.
Recognition & Impact
Trusted by distinguished clients across film, fashion, business, and beyond — including Gwyneth Paltrow, Victoria Beckham, Felicity Jones, Rooney Mara, and members of royal families — Louisa's work has been featured in British Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Tatler, Condé Nast Traveller, Forbes, Grazia, The Times, Marie Claire, Women's Health, and SheerLuxe.
Named "London's Best Personal Trainer" by The Times and Top Recommended Personal Trainer by Spear's Magazine (2023–2025), Louisa was also awarded "Best for Variety" at the Tatler Gym Awards 2018, with her virtual classes highly commended for "Best Online Classes for Barre and Sculpt" in 2020.
Her innovative methods have earned widespread acclaim: Marie Claire described her as "the celeb trainer changing the face of strength workouts," while SheerLuxe noted that "her signature workouts have earned her a cult following." Country & Town House praised LDM as "boutique fitness at its best," and Tatler observed, "She's rather clever... Quite addictive, which is possibly the cleverest thing of all."

Train With The Team
The LDM® team are multi-disciplinary specialists — each bringing their own expertise within a shared methodology. Every trainer is experienced within the LDM system, delivering the same intelligent, progressive approach to movement that underpins everything we do. Private training sessions are available in London, West Sussex, and virtually worldwide.
Gemma holds a Biochemistry degree from the University of Westminster — a foundation that gives her an unusually precise understanding of how the body works, adapts, and responds to training. A Level 3 Personal Trainer with specialist reformer Pilates experience and a background in strength and conditioning across London and Sydney, she brings scientific rigour and genuine warmth to every session.
Her approach is grounded in the science of movement — every session has an intention, a reason, and a progression. She brings genuine energy and precision in equal measure, creating sessions that challenge without overwhelming and educate while they deliver results.
Within LDM, Gemma leads private training and LDM Sculpt and Shape Changer sessions. She is currently deepening her practice through somatic body movement training — a strand that aligns closely with the LDM philosophy of intelligent, body-aware movement. If you want to build real strength with someone who understands exactly what is happening in your body and why, Gemma is your person.
Lydia brings a wealth of experience as a professionally trained dancer, accomplished teacher, and skilled performer to the LDM studio. Her journey in movement began at the prestigious Central School of Ballet, laying the foundation for a diverse and dynamic career in both performing and teaching. Alongside her LDM work, Lydia teaches adult and children's ballet classes — a reflection of the classical training that underpins everything she does.
She holds a Level 3 Diploma in Mat Pilates from HFE and is a certified Dynamic Reformer instructor, including pre and postnatal Reformer Pilates with the Reformer Fitness Academy. Six years of experience instructing dance and barre across London's premier studios informs a teaching style that seamlessly blends strength and grace.
One of LDM's most versatile and long-standing team members, Lydia is equally at home leading Sculpt, Sculpt & Stretch, and the Invisible Reformer — her deep familiarity with the method showing in the precision and fluency she brings to every class. Her approach focuses on empowering participants to discover their potential, pushing boundaries while maintaining proper form and technique.
Tia is a classically trained Pilates instructor, yoga teacher, qualified breathwork facilitator, and sound healing practitioner. She holds a 500-hour comprehensive Classical Pilates Certification — one of the most rigorous Pilates training programmes available — alongside a 200-hour Yoga Alliance yoga teacher training and a 40-hour formal breathwork qualification.
Within LDM, Tia leads Sculpt & Stretch, Invisible Reformer, and Pilates sessions, as well as breathwork and Tibetan bowl sound healing experiences. Her teaching creates space for both precise physical work and genuine restoration — bringing a quality of attentiveness and care to every session that clients feel from the moment they begin.
Emily brings close to a decade of premium fitness experience to the LDM team, with a background that spans Master Trainer at Virgin Active and Tier X trainer at E by Equinox St James’s — two of London’s most rigorous training environments. A Level 3 Personal Trainer, qualified Mat Pilates instructor, and certified pre and postnatal coach, she brings exceptional depth to strength-led and postnatal-focused private sessions.
Her approach is methodical and warm — grounded in a genuine understanding of how the female body changes across different life stages and what intelligent, sustainable training looks like at each one. Within LDM, Emily leads private strength and Pilates-informed sessions and is a trusted specialist for pre and postnatal clients seeking a trainer who combines clinical knowledge with real empathy.
Jeison’s teaching is rooted in over 400 hours of yoga training — including Daoist flow, Qigong, somatic anatomy, and yin — alongside Reformer Pilates certification from the London Pilates Academy and enrolled classical Pilates training. Trained at Triyoga through the Daoist Flow programme, and through Empowered Yoga with Chris Magee, his approach is shaped by a deep understanding of how the body holds tension and how movement can release it.
His training encompasses Qigong theory and practice, five element theory, somatic anatomy, pranayama, meditation, and the art of precise adjustment and sequencing — a breadth that translates into sessions with a quality of presence and attentiveness that is genuinely distinctive. Within LDM, Jeison leads Invisible Reformer, Sculpt & Stretch, and online sessions across the Restore category — mat Pilates, stretch, reset, and somatic work that meets the body exactly where it is.
Suze came to movement through contemporary dance before discovering yoga as the practice that would shape her teaching life. She holds qualifications in Rocket yoga, Pregnancy yoga, and Yin, alongside mat and reformer Pilates certifications — bringing an athletic clarity to everything she teaches while remaining genuinely attentive to where each client is that day.
Her sessions draw from multiple disciplines with a practitioner’s eye, weaving precision and strength with flow and breath. Whether you are drawn to the athletic challenge of her yoga practice or the more restorative qualities of her Pilates and stretch work, Suze meets you with warmth and expertise. Expect moments of real heat alongside space to explore — always with your autonomy at the centre.
